High-Value Drug Suspect Nabbed in Lapuyan

LAPUYAN, Zamboanga del Sur — A 55-year-old fisherman listed as a regional high-value individual (HVI) was arrested in a joint manhunt operation at Barangay Poblacion, Lapuyan at exactly 11:14 AM today.

The suspect, a resident of Lapuyan, was wanted for violation of Section 5, Article II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). A warrant of arrest with no bail recommended was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 20 in Pagadian City.

The operation was conducted by personnel from Lapuyan MPS, ZSPIU, 2nd ZSPMFC, 53rd IB Philippine Army, S2 ZSPIT RIU9, and PDEA-9. The suspect is now under the custody of Lapuyan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
