Livestock to be sold in the Local Market are to be slaughtered in the Municipal Abattoir. Livestock raiser are
to bring the animals for observation before they are slaughtered.

Availing of Livelihood Training
and Agriculture Related Programs
ABOUT THE SERVICE |
Local Government Unit (LGU) through the Municipal Agriculture Office, runs a smooth livelihood training and Agriculture related programs for Fishers, Farmers, Women Rural Improvement Club( WOMRIC), the Out-of-School-Youth (4H’ER) interested in the Technical Assistance Course.
The Program seeks to promote industry and enhance the livelihood of the Stakeholders.
Training Programs are conducted within the barangay level where stakeholders requested
- Livelihood Enhancement( depend upon the program implemented)
- Integrated Farming System
- Season Long Training of Farmer Field School (FFS) on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) on Corn, Rice, High Value Commercial Crops , Livestock and others
The Training period last for 3 to 5 days for short training to be conducted while the FFS on IPM will last 16 days and 16 weeks. The trainees or the resource persons came from the DA-RFU-IX, PAO, and MAO who are qualified for the course in order to complete the said programs.

Applying for Livelihood Assistance
ABOUT THE SERVICE |
Municipal Agriculture, through the Municipal Government implements a livelihood Program that aims to improve the Socio-Economic well being of the low income on Agriculture and Fishery Production of this Municipality. The Program provides Farm Inputs Assistance/Loans for the income-generating projets of qualified farmer beneficiaries.
Qualifications for Loan Asssistance
Individual Applicants
The applicant must:
- be a bonafide resident of this municipality
- be 18 years old and above
- not have any existing or overdue of Agriculture Farm Inputs and livelihood assistance loan
- willing to pay their obligation
The applicant must have a co-maker. The co-maker maybe any person other than the applicant’s spouse, and should satisfy all qualifications above.
For Groups/Associations/Cooperatives:
At least the cooperatives/Assosciations members are residing within the municipality.
Mode of Payment
A government may choose any of the following modes of payment because depend upon what assistance to be undertaken.
- Lumpsum 4 months for vegetables production
- Lumpsum 5 months for corn Production
- Lumpsum 5 months for rice production
- High Value Commercial Crop pay now pay later bases(Harvest of fruits)
- Every week end for Fishing Gear (patuloy)
- Every 3 months for seaweeds production
- Lumpsum 6 months for Swine raising others
Interest is pegged at 1% per month. An additional 2 % penalty is charged for any default or lapses in payment.

MLGU Conducts a credit investigation to determine your credit-worthiness and the projects viability.
Before the actual credit investigation is carried out, the Credit investigator checks if the application form is properly filled-up and follows-up completion of incomplete entries.
